Basically, I got really paranoid a few weeks ago because I started getting a pretty weird rash down there and started to freak the fuck out. I had all the symptoms of thrush but as it became worse and worse, I decided I needed to get checked out asap and got the first appointment I could.
Had my vjayjay all looked and examined and the doctor said it looked different to a rash caused by thrush and called the specialist, turns out I had a skin condition and I could breath easy. I was already there, vadge out and open so I got the full health scan.
I got my results back the other day, and although I have no vaginal or cervical issues they did find something. Chlamydia of the throat. Awesome. I went to get it sorted out today and it should be gone by wednesday, but it just shows that no matter how safe you are with sex, oral sex still poses a risk too. It’s quite ironic that when asking the doctor if I should take the same safety measures in regards to sex as oral, she said there is a risk yet a very small one so she wouldn’t say I need to enforce it too strictly. I just happened to be the unlucky one.
I’ve never had an STI before and in a way I feel better that it’s not downstairs. Plus I came clear for everything, even the skin test and herpes check. She wasn’t even going to do a throat swab because it’s not usual practise. So I guess this goes as a sort of, warning to people. When you do get checked, ask for everything, including your throat because they won’t just offer it as normal procedure.
I guess I’m going to start my “whats your sexual history” talk prior to oral from now on, instead of waiting for sex. Best get learning how to say “how many girls have you fucked unprotected and when was your last check up” in japanese.
Disappointing news.
Already told B and northern boy, the doctor said it was pointless sharing with anyone further back, but I can’t help feel somewhat bad if they’re the very tiny percentage I may of happened to pass it on to. Gash.
STI Check.
